Mr. Butch Landingin, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Orange & Bronze Software Labs Ltd. Co., was awarded a prize in the 2008 Glassfish Grants and Awards Program under the Bug Reports category. The Glassfish Grants and Awards Program (GAP) is a way for encouraging and recognizing contributions made by the Glassfish community to the open source technology.

The 2008 edition of the GAP awarded prizes to 102 contributors, who came from all around the world, covering contributions, fixes and bug reports. Mr. Landingin was one of two awardees from the Philippines, the other being Mr. David Yu from Cebu, a member of the Jetty team.

The said bug was discovered in the course of a client's migration project to GlassFish for which Mr. Landingin was a consultant. Mr. Landingin also contributed test code to allow the GlassFish team to replicate it. The fix has now been implemented and will be included in the next major release of the application server, GlassFish v3.
